Apple Granola

This is a healthy snack that any parent can give to their children. And it has enough flavor to suit grown-up taste as well. Easy to make and easy to enjoy. This is a nice crunchy granola. If a softer granola is desired, just add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to the recipe.

  • Prep Time: 10-20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 1 hour
  • Total Time: 1 1/2 hours

Ingredients:

3 Granny Smith Apples
2 cups Uncooked Oatmeal
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Salt
½ cup Slivered Almonds
½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Honey
¼ cup Water
You Can Add Your Own Variations of Fruit & Nuts.

Directions:

Combine honey and water in a large bowl. Peel and core apples. Grate apples on large size of grater.Place in bowl with honey-water and combine the rest of the ingredients.Toss lightly until well mixed.

Place on cookie sheet, bake in oven at a low temperature until dry and crunchy.
