Gibraltar is proud of the many cultures within our rock Indian Moroccan Spanish Maltese Portuguese and Italian. This dish is typical Gibraltarian with an Italian origin.

Ingredients:

1lb Thick Sliced Meat
1 or 2 Onions Chopped
2 cloves Garlic
4 Carrots Sliced
1 Small Tin Button Mushroom
L Whole Green Pepper
100 Grs Concentrated Tomato Puree
Salt, pepper,pinch of sugar,saffron
250 G Macaroni
Potatoes Cubed
Oil
Grated Cheese To Serve.

Directions:

Brown beef in oil in a pressure cooker. Add onion

garlic,carrots,green pepper, button mushrooms, tomato puree,pepper, salt, pinch of sugar,potatoes and saffron.Stir and brown add water to cover and cook in pressure cooker for about 15 mins or until meat is tender. In the meantime boil the pasta in salted water, about 10 mins until al dente.Drain pasta and join with the meat stew. Serve with plenty of grated cheese.
